Hi Roger, This website is a good place to look for a social media surgery near you: http://socialmediasurgery.com/ (plus there's plenty of advice if you want to start your own).

Nick Booth (aka @podnosh on twitter) might know if there's anyone near you who is involved: http://podnosh.com/

John Popham (@johnpopham) is another good person to speak to if you are thinking of setting up your own surgery: http://www.johnpopham.com/about

Hope that helps!

Lovely idea, wonder if there is anything similar up in the North East? Could be interested in getting involved.

Just like to add that there are other "surgeries" happening which are not called surgeries but are never the less contributing to the cascade of skills. Some of these are in local neighbourhoods. The growth of skills sharing is rapid where there is a need.

By the way the Huddersfield surgery was not funded by Digital 20/20. It was started by volunteers and funded out of their own pockets.
