Education & Training Providers Group
The Education & Training Providers' Special Interest Group is a vibrant grouping of colleagues from the region's Universities, FE colleges, Work-Based Learning Providers and Adult and Community Learning organisations. The Group has a healthy core membership, but all meetings are open to anyone with an interest to attend.
The Group's remit is:
-
To develop the group as a focal point for practitioners and managers delivering ICT & digital media (and related) education and training across the region - from schools to HE, both private and public providers
-
To provide a readily recognised and effective channel for introducing breaking news and emerging opportunities to education and training providers in this sector
As well as covering latest funded programme news (in areas such as 14-19 Diplomas, the Yorkshire Forward Higher Level Skills Programme and the Leitch report), each meeting will be planned to include Technical, Curriculum and Sector topics and issues of broad interest to the ICT and digital skills community.
Who should join? Practitioners and managers from any public or private sector organisation delivering specialist programmes in digital and ICT subject areas - ranging from national awards to university validated degrees to vendor certifications. We are also keen to involve people not directly working in specialist departments, and would encourage people with cross-cutting remits such as Business Development / Employer Engagement Managers, 14-19 Managers and people with responsibility for engaging disengaged learners, to join our meetings.
The Group aims to meet monthly during term times and meetings are open to anyone in the field - please pass on the details. The finalised programme for each event will be available from this website.
