Vital provides ICT CPD opportunities for all staff across the region.
Yorkshire & Humber is one of the first three regions to go live with the new Vital ICT CPD programme for school staff.
Vital, a £5.6m programme developed by the Open University and e-skills UK, launched the first of its courses at the BETT education show in January 2010. The response has been very positive, with hundreds of people registering interest – many of them here in Yorkshire and the Humber.
The Vital programme provides a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff in schools using ICT across the curriculum and for those teaching IT as a specialist subject.
Vital will be working in partnership with many providers here in Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as providing new learning materials developed by the Open University. Some of the courses will offer opportunities to work towards a Masters in Education.
Vital’s innovative structure ensures that learning doesn’t stop at the end of a course. Practitioners will be able to consolidate their understanding, share news and views, and exchange good practice through a range of dynamic online communities.
Visit www.vital.ac.uk for more information and register for free to explore the Vital Community and gain access to a range of free resources and 15 minute CPD online.
