In April 2009, Digital 20/20 held an event for employers to help them find out how other IT businesses are making apprenticeships work. Attendees were able to:

• Hear speakers from BT, Microsoft, Strategic Systems Solutions, Livetech and the new National Apprenticeships Service.
• See case studies from both large and small businesses, including O2 and CC Systems.
• Learn how to set up apprenticeships and how to select the best candidates.
• Meet specialists from colleges, training providers and support organisations who can help make apprenticeships a success.

This event was presented in collaboration with e-skills UK and with support from the West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network. It focused on the needs of IT and Telecoms businesses to demonstrate the benefits to be gained by employing apprentices.
