Spotlight on IT and Creative & Media Diplomas in Yorkshire and Humber.
In June 2009, Digital 20/20 hosted an event for those involved or interested in IT and Creative & Media Diplomas.
Diplomas One Year On: Showcasing Success aimed to highlight what is working well and what the students are enjoying.
The key aims were to:
- Inspire and motivate the potential next wave of schools who are looking to come on board
- Give a platform for Learner Voice
- Thank practitioners for their work in Year 1 and recognise the innovation that is happening in the classroom and beyond
- Thank employers for their contributions
- Strengthen regional networks
- Identify useful delivery models
- Examine the "Virtual Classroom" concept
- Looks at ways of harnessing great industry events that are happening locally
The event saw key note speakers give first hand accounts of how the diplomas were working and breakout workshops where attendees could learn more areas such as Podcasting, Animation and e-Skills
