For those made redundant with good ICT and digital skills – work with partners to identify opportunities in sectors across the region that need those skills.

Digital 20/20 Theme:
Current Workforce and People Outside the Workforce

The Digital 20/20 management team is currently undertaking a piece of research and consultation commissioned by Yorkshire Forward and working with Jobcentre Plus, LSC, the National Skills Academy for Financial Services and the Sector Skills Councils.

The purpose of the exercise is to map what is happening to support those made redundant from the Financial Services sector who are digitally adept. We will then scope a fast track intervention to help guide them to opportunities in the IT/Interactive Media or Education/Training sectors where there are identified needs in the region.

The aim is to identify how to support existing brokers of advice and guidance. This includes employers in the Financial Services sector who are trying to assist staff in process of being made redundant, as well as the specialist recruitment agencies who are most likely to deal with such staff.
