VITAL ICT professional development programme for schools

Vital is a professional development programme which aims to support primary and secondary schools and sixth form colleges in England to make the most of ICT in their teaching. Launched in January 2010, it is working with specialist technology teachers (of IT, Computing and ICT), as well as all practitioners seeking to use ICT to enhance learning across the curriculum. Digital 20/20 worked with e-Skills and the Open University to provide regional input when the programme was being scoped and set up, and is now working with the regional office to help roll out so that Yorkshire and Humber gets maximum benefit from the opportunity.
